Torture Cells of Les Cayes
Les Cayes, Haiti, 1994 Haitian prisoners in a cell in Les Cayes in Southern Haiti. Twenty mistreated, malnurished, sick and tortured prisoners share a 4 by 4 meter cell. Discovered by a platoon of U.S. special forces, the prisoners were released, and the prison guards locked up in the cells instead. Several prisoners had their skin rotten away and were unable to walk. One of the prisoners later died of his injuries.
